Karen Albritton is an advisor to clients at Thinc Strategy. Operating at the intersection of sales and marketing to identify operational goals requires building trust and fostering long-term relationships. It all begins with being intentional. Karen works with her clients to create the future they want for themselves, their employees, and their organizations. Setting long-term goals is the first step – creating actionable plans to attain them is the next step and the one that Karen excels in. She’s highly adept at identifying and tackling the steps that it takes to elevate businesses to the next level up. Over the past three decades, Karen has demonstrated a proven ability to deliver growth by crafting strategies for marketing, corporate reputation, and market creation. 

During her 17-year history with Capstrat, Karen helped build the company into an award-winning communications agency. She helped integrate the company into the Ketchum network and navigated the agency’s acquisition by Omnicom in 2012. During her tenure at Capstrat, Karen advanced through several executive leadership roles including EVP, President, CEO, and Managing Partner. Building their entrepreneurial, client-focused culture is one of the things that she’s most proud of. Karen is also an innovator. Throughout her career, she’s launched various solutions in analytics, digital, social media, and healthcare. 

This alumnus of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill earned her B.A. in Journalism and Political Science and an MBA from the University of North Carolina-Wilmington. She lends her experience to several industry and community organizations, serving on boards for the American Marketing Association, UNC Health Foundation, William Peace University and the Research Triangle Chapter of the National Association of Corporate Directors.

Thinc specializes in conducting comprehensive feasibility studies to evaluate the viability, risks, and rewards of new business initiatives, ensuring informed decision-making and strategic planning for success.
Thinc will conduct individual interviews with key stakeholders to gain an understanding of their ownership goals and future objectives.

Thinc will review a variety of materials from the firm including, but not limited to, the past 3-5 years of financial statements, organization chart, key roles, and other relevant materials.

Thinc will meet with the owners to confirm the direction gleaned from our initial interviews and information analysis. We will use this meeting to refine the direction and inputs for the different models.

Thinc will build out the different options using the provided inputs showing the potential outcomes and implications for each model.

Thinc will present the feasibility study, documenting the various options and models. We will also schedule a follow-up conversation, allowing the owners time for reflection on the study, to answer questions and discuss next steps.
